Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra shared a poem supporting jailed activist Umar Khalid after the Supreme Court denied him bail in a 2020 Delhi riots case. While Khalid and Sharjeel Imam were denied bail, others received it. JNU students reportedly raised anti-Modi slogans, drawing sharp criticism from BJP leaders who labelled them ‘anti-India urban naxals’ and condemned the slogans as ‘treason’.
