Anthropic becomes first-ever US company designated as ‘risk to US national security’

AI firm Anthropic has been labeled a national security risk by the Department of War, a first for a US company. CEO Dario Amodei vows to challenge the designation, stating it’s legally unsound and narrowly applies only to specific Department of War contracts, not all customer use.
